Default 2007 FLHX Runs Different than others?

I have had a 2005 Electra Glide Classic (88ci w/ 5 speed) and a 2010 Ultra Classic (96ci w/ 6 speed) and my question for you motor-heads is, is the gearing on both of these bikes so different, because, I feel my 2007 FLHX runs very sluggish at low RPM in any gear. After it reaches 2800 RPM's it wakes up. It actually feels like it is not firing on both cylinders but plugs show otherwise. The 07 FLHX has Rinehart true duals with the download from Screamin Eagle. Would a Dyno-Jet Powercommander and a trip to the Dyno help tweek out this problem, or it is what it is? Thanks for any input you may have, I really want to keep this Street Glide but it needs to run correctly.

true duals- the likely culprit.

true duals do not enhance low rpm torque such as a 2 into 1 or even the stock headers with free flowing mufflers

there are gearing differences from model to model, year to year and destination market

google search can tell you what is what if you want to look into it

i have the same problem on my 07 ,its the gearing, your 2010 has 2 teeth bigger rear pully.i also think the 07(first year of 96) has some tuning bugs that have been since resolved after lots of complaints of to leen to hot stumpling and ping.a good tune should help some, the download doesnt change much,as its epa compliant.and the download isnt designed to support true duels just slip ons.u can also get the lower gearing and keep ids there is a rear pully for a japanese model sprotster that bolts right up using ids.

Try running some seafoam thru it I run it once a month in the same bike and see if that makes a difference you might have dirty injectors.

When you put the 68t rear pulley on you will understand why the 09's and up use this gearing, it's much better than that 66t.
