How are you acquiring the head pipes you're selling cat removed?

I have removed about 18 CATS now , and sell the headpipes done for $140.00 no trade in required

Go to american Custom website. There you'll find step by step illustrated instructions. Very helpful!

Removing everything was not a problem. Also, had problem with crossover pipe gasket putting everything back together. Managed to wad up the gasket assembling pipes and local dealer did not have one in stock. Once I found one, applied a bit of anti-sieze to make reassembly easier. Getting to nuts on header flanges can also be a pain.

I get most from the dealers after they install new pipes, alot of them are taken off with no or relatively low miles... I am fortunate to be centrally located between 5/6 dealers... until I use up the pipes I have and the well starts to run dry , I do not require an exchange, eventually I will..

The american customs installation makes NO mention of a crossover gasket?

I checked and the September issue is in the archives online. The article is about replacing the head pipe with Fulsac head pipe.

If the heat doesn't bother you, all swapping the headpipe out for a gutted stock piece will get you is a better sound.
