grip was rubbing on the inside of the handlebar end. I loosened the housing screws and moved the assembly 1/16" out and its smooth as silk

Having already posted about my small problem with the high idle, let me just say that I also like my TBW.
It's very smooth, very easy on the wrist and no lag. 40,000 miles and no problem except the intermittent high idle (which is very easy to reset).
This technology has been in service in the auto industry for decades-not like its new and has to have the bugs worked out.

My tbw has no lag at all. Almost to a fault which leads to this topic. After I swapped out grips I had the same problem. Throttle wouldn't snap back to idle. So I did what you did. Pulled it out about 1/8". But now the grip has a bit too much lateral play. When I go over bumps my hand isn't all that steady cause of the play. Combined with the ultra sensitive tbw I end up lurching back and forth. For now I've just been putting my thumb against the housing to steady my hand but I'm looking for something I can use to reduce the play

1/8 is a bit much. Move it in until it starts to bind and then just slack it off a c*nt-hair.

It still sticks a little bit at 1/8" out. I think it's the rubber at the end of the grip. I'll have to lube it or find some way to push the rubber out a bit.
