[QUOTE='05Train;8918464]Think about this...I paid $1470 for my warranty and it's paid out over $1700 so far in tires and towing alone.

How much of that was in the first two years?

All of it. The tire & wheel coverage starts the day you take delivery of the bike.

I ride anywhere from 16k to 18k a year, 56k in 3 years, so they prob will be paying for a engine if I keep up the high mileage years, since I have 4 more years on my ESP, so yes I made out like a fat rat. Lottery, well not so lucky,,LOL

I agree with '05Train completely. Though I have not had the the bad luck of using it as much, I am glad that I have it. The comfort of having it far out weights the fear of a repair bill while not having it.

HD is making their money off the warranties from the people that buy it and then hardly ride their bikes. For the people that ride often and crank out mile after mile... the warranty is no brainer.

Yes its worth it. If you sell the bike it is a good selling point for a used bike. the guy that gets it will have piece of mind knowing if something goes wrong he wont have any out of pocket cash except for $50.00.

Here is an example. This occurred today. Screw in rear tire. Rolled into dealership. new rear tire installation. Had to go to work so I couldnt wait for it. Rolled out with a rental, which is part of ESP coverage.
Cost to me: $00.00
Along with Tire and wheel, the rental coverage starts from day one. You cannot get a rental if you only have the factory warranty

I have 20,000 miles on my 2010 Road Glide Custom, and my rear tire got punctured on the way to work on Wednesday. Zero deductible, and this is my 3rd free tire replacement due to blow outs. Dealer told me that it would have cost about $400 for each replacement. Is the policy (with tire and wheel coverage) worth it. DEFINITELY!!

Here's the way I think about it - if you put a lot of miles on a bike, probably worth it. Low miles (3-5K/year), probably not. I'm planning some big trips, so I will likely jump in.
