Age matters not a bit! 57 and counting. Have had lots of grey (gray?) since LONG before I got the Ultra. Want one? Buy one.
I totally agree! That was the point I was trying to make with my friend when she made the comment. As for the grey/gray hair, I'm about 50/50 but could never grow a full beard, so I have to show off the greys on my head!

As for the Ultra, I'm gonna wait until after this weekend's Harley dealer presentation. All the dealers find out what's in store for '06. I've heard rumors of a standard 6 speed and possibly the 1550 motor standard, as well. I've also been told that Harley's EFI meets emission standards until 2008 (California will have different calibrations). Don't know the future of the carbed Harley's. I can hardly wait until next week to find out!

I am 39.75, and running a bit less than half grey. Call her a Geezer Glide, Old Boys Boat or whatever, but my girl and I just call her comfortable. Preconcieved notions can be such a funny thing...

40 years old, first bike, first Ultra, no regrets. Go for it and ride safe.

I'm considering a Road Glide and I'm 65 does this mean I have to get an Ultra instead?

My first Electraglide was a '77 when I was 27. Named it Baby Huey because it was my 800 lb baby boy. I'm 52 now and still have one (an '02 Ultra). Best bike in the world for long rides. Your rider will always be comfortable. Women will ride on your bike that won't get on the smaller,"scarier" bikes. There is a reason why we gray beards ride large bikes and drive full size cars, we're older and wiser and like to be comfortable. Tell her to ride on one before she passes judgement.

I'll be 50 Oct 1st and I'm on my second EG.
Got my first one in '98 and have done nearly 150,000 miles on FLHTs now.

42 and just turned old enough for a glide. Or is that smart enough?
