hmmmmm... I never get stopped for a helmet check...

Maybe it's because I am suited up like a "power ranger" when riding (Full-face helmet, Hi-Vis mesh jacket, mesh pants)...

I DO NOT wear a helmet because it is my right to choose not to. And, fortunately, the commonwealth of Kentucky agrees with me!

My city has also made texting while driving a citeable offense.

But seriously, someone had to step in, cause the parents obviously werent. There should have never been a junk food machine in a school in the first place.

Bad choice on the Parents and the school. I guess we are back to whats "right vs wrong"?

I never had a junk food vending machine in my school when growing up.

Most kids cant make the right choice, and conversely will make the choice that tastes better. I know I would have.

But a KID shouldnt have that choice to make.

 

The Patriot act took away ALL of our personal rights. You can be searched, your house can be searched, your car, bike, storage facility or whatever in the interest of National Security.
Helmet check points are not about safety, They were designed to keep an eye on us. Went to Americade last year and went through 4 check points where the Goldwings were waved by...
I wear a DOT helmet because I choose to, I resent being forced to.

 

Everyone knows the laws and makes a choice to abide or not. If you choose to break the rules, don't deflect to the system. Suck it up and drive on. If you feel the system is wrong find a way to change it. There are a lot of laws I do not agree with. That does not mean I can ignore them.

 

Thats all I been trying to say. That in my experience everyone is willing to bitch about something, but not do anything about it.

I know a guy who has gone to court for carrying open in Ct., And it has been thrown out, why, because the law states we can carry open, but noone is willing to stand up and make it known to the general public.

Everyone is looking for the free ride, and someone else to take care of their problems.
