Steel rear fenders vs Layovers
I already searched can't seem to find alot.
So who makesstretched steel/metal rear fenders for a 2011 SG? Seems everyone and their brother makes fiberglass, plastic, molded, etc layovers but i'm not sold on screwing a layover on.
I like the idea of good ol fashion steel who makes them and anyone have pics.
Thanks!

I saw Jim Nasi's last week in Veags and like the fender but not fond of his bags.

KW and I believe Corbin make metal fenders. I do not like fender covers either. I do not like how you lose functionality with the 4 point docking hardware. I have a Summit fender from Bad Dad. Yes, still fiberglass (I believe the Yaffe is as well) but it is very strong and is a full fender replacement, not a cover. I still have functionality of my 4 point docking hardware.

Right, Yaffe's fender is fiberglass. I was thinking fender vs overlay when I typed that last night, not steel vs everything else.
The Klockwerks stuff is nice, but not cheap. I haven't seen their fenders for the newer bikes, but on the 08 and older bikes, their fenders and side pieces look outstanding.
For the newer bikes, if I wanted a full fendered rear end, I'd think about replicating the CVO rear.

The Chupa rear fender is composite, not glass.
and to the OP, it is very sturdy and my painter didnt have too much trouble with it. Yaffe's tank though...........
I've got the chupa rear, stretched tank, thicky front fender, Top Shop bags, Cycle Sound lids, an inner and outer fairing, and a few odds and ends. It's been 4 weeks and $4,000 to paint it all.
my painter spent 3 days on the tank alone.
