Its stuck on there with the same stuff that the reflectors are, so blow dryer and dental floss or some equivalents. Not harming the paint is the big challenge
Fishing line and blow dryer to remove glue. One warning though, dont try on denim paint, it comes off but you can still see where the badge was. Very faint of course but cannot get rid of it. On shiny paint bikes no problem.
My 2010 Street Glide is vivid black also. I used fishing line and a blow dryer. It takes awhile to remove all the glue residue but it looks great when it's done. Those stock emblems really cheapen the look of the bike. I had no scratches or marks when I finished.
X2 on the fishing line and blow dryer, or if you've still got some warm days in Texas, put it out in the sun for a couple of hours, then get after it with the fishing line. That's how I did my Road King. Black bikes get hot in the sun!
3M makes a adhesive remover for weather stripping. It works. I get a towel to clean up any that will drip off. I just use a eye dropper & just soak it up.You may have to apply it several times. Then use the dental floss. I helps if you heat it up first. But don't use heat gun after you have put it on. It's flamable.
Goo Gone is another good solvent for glue and adhesive removal.
It can look really good w/o the badges, I did this to mine. But if you haven't taken care of your paint, like keeping it waxed, you might have a shadow where the emblems were.
