have a 93 flhtc. Just had new dyna ignition system put on. Went to work bout 40 mile ride everything was ok. Going home 10pm. Bout 20 miles into trip bike loses power like no gas. Pull off check everything start it up all good. Take off get up to 50mph same thing happens. Finally after 4 times of this i decide to see how it does at 30mph. It worked and i got it home. Anyone have any ideas?

 

possible the advance is stuck- do you have the VOES connected to the carb, and is it connected to the module?

the voes signals the module to retard timing when the throttle is wacked open- if the timing stays advanced the motor bogs down , kinda like running out of gas- you can accelerate but only very gradually, and it you get to a hill you are screwed

I've only used Crane Hi4E and stock ignitions on evos, had a dyna on a bmw.

sounds kinda like there mite be somthing clogging fuel delivery .. petcock mite be almost clogged, or fuel filter . mite run some star-tron in the gas to help clean the carb... ethanol is a paini n the butt
