Default I got to use my ABS brakes today.

On my way back to work from lunch today I had something really get my attention. I was riding down a side street in a 35 mph zone when a car suddenly made a left turn in front of me. He did not signal and there was no cross street for him to turn on. What he did was make a quick sudden left turn in front of me to pull into a residential driveway. Without time to think my reaction was to grab the front brake fast and hard while at the same time hitting the rear brake hard. Without the ABS I'm sure I would of locked them up. As it turned out I made a quick controlled safe stop. I sat there for a minute waiting for the guy to get out but he didn't. I went on to work and considered it my lucky day. My conclusion is I do believe in ABS.

...glad it worked out for you...I'm personally not a fan of ABS in cars or bikes, but glad it helped you in that situation...

To not "believe" in ABS is to not believe that Armstrong walked on the moon or evolution..... ABS works. Period.

I am also glad it worked for you, just glad that you weren't going over any stutter bumps or the outcome wouldn't have been so good.

Four weeks ago I totaled my 99 Standard. I am positive I could have avoided it if my bike would have been equiped with ABS. It should have been standard equipment for the past 20 years. It would have saved a lot of lives and pain.

I purchased a 2010 Ultra last week with ABS and it has already come in handy with a close encounter like your incident. I wouldn't own a bike without it.

I wouldn't have a motorcycle without ABS. Glad it saved injury and property. Ride Safe!

I've used mine twice since 2009. I'd rather be in control steering, that an out of control slide.

ABS does work. I have activated mine a couple of times.
