Default Why all the damn allen head and torx bolts on HD

whatever happened to regular SAE bolts ? Why all the Allen head and torx head bolts ?

The damn Allen head small screws are the worse after a few years on your bike the damn heads rust and then strip out when you try to remove them.

Italian brakes, Japanese front suspension, Japanese stereo, various Chinese and Taiwanese parts. I get tired of all of the Torx and different sized Allens as well, but I suppose the fasteners are going the way of the rest of the bike. Build parts of it cheap, sell it high, and hope no one cares. So far it's working pretty good for them. (thanks to us)

Cleaner look and less tool clearance than hex or 12 point heads.

It is what it is but you only need 3 sets.
Allen set for ratchets, torx set for ratchets. And Sears has a ratchet/socket set that covers all the 6 point, 12 point, stars, reverse torx, etc. Comes with sae and metric, 35 bucks, pretty kool, they do work well. No more reaching for the vise grips!
