Is there an easier way or gauge type to check the PSI in the touring models? sure seems to be a PITA at times unless bike is up on a stand,
it's not that I'm too lazy or fat to bend over... just sayin'?

I use an extension hose. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

I still have to lay down next to the bike. But once you have it screwed onto the valve, it's a whole bunch easier to check/fill the tire.

It doesn't eliminate having to get down, but I use this one:

The 28 spokes wheels are a PITA. I bought and tried most of the gizmos that have been listed here. Didn't really solve the problem. There's not enough room for the air chuck without bending the rubber valve. Best solution is to install 82deg angled/zero loss valves. With them, checking and inflating is a piece of cake.

Pic of the valve on the front wheel.

Don't you have to have metal valve stems to use TPMS systems?

I do not - and the security 'feature'(ring with allen set screw) still works

***** Important Addition - I switched rims to HD Airstrikes because the 28 non-coated aluminum was such a POS - I have not tried the item I mentioned with the 28 spoke rim
