Default F-In Skippin' Harmon Kardon POS

F-In Skippin' Harmon Kardon POS, just started today.
I suppose it is related to service bulletin M1289?
Tempted to say F It...and go w/another head unit..
Will putting in new handlebar clamp bolts let it be again as it was or will it still be fuked?
Any input welcome..
Thanx in advance..

In my opinion they are crap. It will probably have another common issue right after that one.

You could pull the switch cap and look under the radio and see if the bolts are touching the radio. The bolts are about $3.00 for 2 of them. Seems to me that's a lot cheaper than replacing the unit. In all fairness if thats the problem it's not the radios fault.

I would be happy to pay shipping if you want to send me that POS You can have it fixed for less than getting a new one that does not fit your inner fairing.

Mine started skipping and it turned out my upper fairing mount bracket broke. There is a guy on ebay that sells a repair kit for all 4 mounts pretty cheap. I would check those first.

Your first glitch and it's a POS?

Mine has worked trouble free for 39,000 miles so far. When it has it's first problem I'll get it fixed.

1st glitch?
Funny, I don't quite remember saying that.
Please refresh my memory as to where I said that this was the first glitch?

For diagnostice assistance, (1) try the "self-diagnostic" sticky at the top of the first page of this Touring forum; and, (2) call Iron Cross Audio.
