Default Q2 throttle tube?

Does anyone have any feedback on the 1/4 turn Q2 throttle tubes? Turns out that the previous owner of my "new" '06 SG looks to have broke the tube when installing the ISO grips (Grip fell off in my hand while moving the bike around...)

It's as good as a time to upgrade as any -- however would like some feedback before I drop $50 -- on what is typically a $5 part.

Thx!

could be the iso grips?

seen a few posts lately from TBW riders whose kuryakin grips failed internally, no longer mating with the TBW

Interesting. Didn't see those posts. Throttle tube literally broke in two with 3/4 of it still stuck in grip. I figured whoever installed kuryakin grip previously didn't spend enough time taking old grips off and maybe forced the kuryakin's on.
