Default 18 inch wheels

Hello to everyone. This is my first post and i hope someone can help me. Basically i'm planning on putting 18 inch wheels (either PM or RC Components) on my 2003 FLHT. I wanted to know if anyone has put them and the benefits or problems they have encountered. Should i stay with the original size? I also wanted to know if anyone knows if the front Corbin fender will fit with the 18 inchers?
Thanks,
Cris

They will fit fine and look great as well. I am also going with 18 inch wheels from XtremeMachineUSA.com for my Road Glide. I bought a set for my Indian two years ago in Daytona and there product is top notch. Post some pics of your scoot after you get them on!

Here is a link to a pic of my wheels on my other bike.

RGB,

That second picture should be in a wall somewhere...that's sharp. I like the looks of those wheels, very sharp. Not sure about that ugly dude in the last one!

That Indian looks great!

Yeah I have a few great shots of the Indian on that day I led a ride of about 45 bikes to Mt Rainier and it was an A+ day temps about 80 degrees and blue skies all the way. I also appreciate the kind words about the Indian, I put alot of time and money into it!
Here are a few more pics for ya'll to enjoy. BTW Pilot I am one sexy bitch how dare you call me ugly ha ha ha ha ha

Thanks guys. I wrote to RC Components and their answer regarding the difference between 16" and 18" was;
We most commonly sell 18"s, for the appearance. If you ride alot I think the 16"s are the better choice just because of the tire availability for the 16"s.
I'm probably going to end up getting the Royale wheels (www.rccomponents.com) What do you guys think abouth these wheels?
Cheers,
Cris

Littleskull,

I'm having trouble picturing them on an FLHT...I like the wheels though...I personally think I like the looks of the 16 and 18 about the same, those wheels are sharp enough that I don't know that the size will make THAT much of a difference unless you are looking for low profile tires...I don't know how much I would like that on a bagger...

RGB...I edited to make the post show the pics automatically, we bordering on hijacking his thread (rude, I apologize Littleskull), but he is helping with the wheels. If you want me to, I'll move it to it's own post in it's own right...[sm=smiley20.gif]

I know this won't help much, but I have 18" pm's on my 02 flstci and I am considering doing the same on my 05 flhtci. I had some spacing issues when I first put them on. First the pulley and then the brakes, but after a couple of trips back and forth to the dealer everyting was good to go. I like the look of the 18" wheel. more rim and less tire looks really good.......
