I just did the same sprocket mods you mention on an 07UC. Just buy the Dakota Digital pn SIM-1 and pull your starter and wire it in to the speed sensor as directed. It works perfectly and wont be nearly as costly as buying the TTS and you can change the speedo setting on the fly. You will lose your 6th gear light but I assume you can get it back if you ever wanted to go back to the original set up. Plus, if you ever change sprockets again, you wont have to put your bike on a dyno to recalibrate the speedo again.

Default Switch from PCV w/Autotune to TTS Mastertune ???

I am preparing for my winter mods and am contemplating switching from my PCV w/Autotune to a TTS Mastertune but I need help from the forum members on this....

My current 07 Ultra has:

PCV w/Autotune
Woods TW-6 Cams
High Flow Air Cleaner
D&D FatCat Exhaust

But this set-up is not giving me the power I want so this winter I plan on changing my gear ratio by moving to a 30T compensator sprocket and adding IDS and changing my rear sprocket to a 68T. This should provide me more torque where I normally ride (Chicago and burbs) and change my gearing to be close to the newer bikes.

Given this... my speedometer will be off (fast) and I'd like to re-calibrate it. The PCV cannot do this so I am thinking of moving to the TTS mastertune.

In addition, I DO NOT want to take my bike to a dyno every time I make a change, will the TTS Vtune work similar to the PCV Autotune?

Finally, is there a market for a used PCV and Autotune? What is it worth? I'd like to make up a little for the money spent on the TTS.

What to the forum experts think ??? P.S. Don't tell my wife I might be spending more money

Thanks in advance,

Scott

All you need to do after the install is ride the bike with the side cover off where you'll have the Dakota Digital part and use a GPS or a pace car or bike to recalibrate it perfectly. I used a GPS and was done recalibrating within a half mile ride or so.
