Biketronics cop bike kit with Hogtunes speakers, radio is a Sony GT610 with a usb in on the front my Ipod hooks right in. CD player will skip over bumps, radio reception is ok (powered in fairing antenna.) Really rocks with the Ipod no need for an amp very loud and clear even at highway speeds. Had it for 3 years no issues except when my local stealer worked on the bike and didn't connect the ground after rehooking the battery (dumbasses). It worked intermittently until I figured out what happened. Get a bit irritated when you tell them it worked when you gave them the bike and not after and they don't give a rats ***. Also get steamed when I pay the dealer top dollar to do any work and they can't reprogram the time on the clock when they reconnect the Battery. So much for my rant. Love the stereo. May get the Sony DSX-S100 because it stores the Ipod inside. (no more velcroed Ipod)

Somehow I disabled the auto volume when I installed the BikeTronics retro kit. Damn button pusher haha. Re-enabled it and pretty inpressed. Ran the bile to 65, set the radio to the maximum that I would listen to it. Now when riding around town, the volume changes with the speed and keeps it at a decent volume through out the speeds. Also a side not to the rockers, if your radio has a HPF (high pass filter) and have only the 5 1/4 or 6.5" speakers set it for around 100hz. This will keep the speakers from trying to destroy themselves. Old trick I done when in the sound comps with the vehicles.

 

Somehow, I don't think I'd want to pay $80 to $100 per hour to have the tech reset my clock, but to each his own. And I would never expect a shop tech to know how to access the menus on every after market radio that came in. Just an honest difference of opinion and expectation.

I should have been more specific I was talking about the dash clock not the radio. Just a minor unrelated rant.
