All I can tell you is, for all day comfort, they can't be beat.
Mine's the Wide Vintage, and it's on a Heritage, not a Streetglide but with the rider backrest in place . . . It is one comfortable seat. My wife's 03 has the stock seat which I hate. Hate doesn't cover it. I put the Mustang on her bike if I ride it farther than to the gas station. It sets me 1" back, but 1" higher than the stock foo foo seat.

I believe the Mustang catalog stated for touring models it moves you back & lower, but I think thats for the Ultra style seat.

My Mustang came with the bike when I got it. But it definitely lower than the stock police seat.

I can’t speak about the normal Mustang seat however I went with the Mustang Lowdown seat; the stock Limited seat was too high for my short inseam. It made a pretty good difference, I can pretty much flat foot it now.

Good thread. I've been wondering about the Mustang seat height because I want to get a solo but I don't one any higher, in fact I would prefer one 1/2" or more lower. Thats because of the windshield height. If I get a taller seat I will get beaten to death by buffeting. My shield could stand another inch in height to be perfect. This is a tough one for me, I'm trying to avoid buying another windshield. However, installing wind deflectors recently helped, that might pull me through this where seat height doesn't have to be exact. I know there are other seat options out there, but you can't deny the popularity of the Mustang brand being you get feedback from multiple owners. Not so many with some other brands, speaking of which what about Saddlemen, La Pera? I know about Ultimate. Another advantage with the Mustang is you find more of them on the used market, giving you opportunity to buy them at a good price. Through all of this my main goal is comfort, but there are some variables attaining that goal.

I have a Mustang solo seat, mine sits just a tad lower, and night and day difference in comfort compared to OEM, I plan to buy a passenger pilon for when I use my tour pac, so I won't have to give up the comfort.

I've had 4 seats on my RKC.

In order of height from lowest to highest:

1. Corbin (almost a tie)
2. Stock
3. Mustang (seems like +1" over stock seat)
4. Police (approximately 4" taller than stock)

My new Super Touring seat I was told is what they are selling as a "tall boy" seat. It gets me two inches further back, higher from the ground, and extends reach to the bars 2-3 inches when settled down in the seat.
