Default Should I : V&H Slip-ons or Dresser duals?

I have V&H basic slipons with the stock header. I can't decide whether to replace the basics with the V&H turndowns which then I would be very happy with the looks of the exhaust OR keep the basics I have now and add the V&H dresser duals which then I would be happy with the sound.

I only hesitate with the duals because it brings up other issues with having to tune...........is it worth the $$ to get the duals and have to tune (proly replace my tfi with a pcIII)....do they enhance the sound of the exhaust significantly? Looking for more volume if I choose the sound route.

A little more volume, and now in stereo. I like my Dresser Duals.

I went with the dresser duals, love the look and the sound. Used the Thunder max and did it myself, saved a bunch of cash by not going to the stealer, plus have the curage to possibly do cams or a big bore kit now.
If you are running slipon's all ready do you have a high flow air cleaner??
If so you should be running a tune already or your ride could be running very hot, and sluggish.

I do have a high flow air cleaner and also I run a dobeck TFI which seems to perform great - I just think with changing to true duals I wonder if the TFI will be sufficient and maybe I would need to buy a PCIII which means a bigger investment so not sure I want to do that - glad to hear you like the looks AND sound....gonna have to think hard about it.

jacknthebox; my vote would be V&H Power Duals (different fm your suggestion) because it's still TD header, but provides better overall performance. Also, no need to change tuner - I run TFI w/TD's + big breather & tuning/adjusting for these upgrades was no problem at all. Just look at the TFI instructions & they have settings for various mods + Dobeck's Tech Support is a huge help if you run into problems. Good luck!

Unfortunately they do not make power duals for my bike (2000 RKC). Glad to hear that the TFI works well with these upgrades...wasn't sure but now I know, Thanks.

I went with the dresser duals and then added Rinehart 4" slipons. Just the headers alone get it to breath much better and add tone to any slip on you add. Roll with the dressers!!
