My 15" Memphis Shades arrived on the brown truck today, along with my new T-Bag windshield bags. Didn't get to try it out yet, will keep you posted on the wind noise and protection.

Man you must be 6.5 or so, no?
Maybe you want it over your head or so?

I went with the Memphis tall shield , I think it is 2 or 3 inches over stock , I like to look through the shield not over and the colors look good to

Nope, 6' nothing, but I do have a long torso, and the Road Zeppelin does Raise me up some compared to the stock seat. I look over the stock 12" shield, and I look through this one. I wanted to try something that will block most if not all of the wind for the up coming cold weather, and hopefully extend my tolerance for cold weather riding, and add a couple more months to my riding season. I probably wont get to try it out today either, because its pouring down rain again.

I finally got out today, logged a little over 200 miles with the 15" shield. I have to say that it is awesome.absolutely no buffeting, quiet as can be, and any riding fatigue I got is totally gone. I will venture to say that this is the best ride I have taken on the bike.

There are, however, a couple of drawbacks. Looking through the shield is great when it's clean. good clarity, no distortion, no weird reflections. but, when it gets bugged up, it is bothersome. I had to clean it off twice during my ride. Also, I wear a FF (modular) Helmet. my face shield has a scratch on it, not noticeable unless I am looking through the windshield. not sure why that happens, but I can see it, and its bothersome only looking through the new shield (strange)

All in all I am very happy with the Memphis 15", once I buy a new face shield for my helmet, I will only have to deal with stopping periodically to clean off the bugs. (I carry a can of plexus and rags with me anyway) I doubt that I will change it back to my shorter one next summer.

I just put on a 14" freedom shield for the winter...even with the zeppelin I'm looking through it all the time. I also put on the lower fork deflectors, and rode in the 40's a couple of nights last week and it was very good sans helmet.

I have Plexus but once I tried a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water as suggested by somebody on this forum, I never use the blue can any more. The peroxide apparently works on the protein. You can see it fizz up and some of the guts fall right off while the rest is easy to wipe off. Way less rubbing than with Plexus, Pledge or anything else (ie less scratching). The big plus is that a bottle of peroxide is only about a $1.50. I carry a small spray bottle of the peroxide mixture in my lower fairing pocket.

I will give that a try. Thanks!

Don't forget Clark's Custom FLHT Windshields if anyone is interested. Great people to deal with. Here's the link:
