I'm having an issue with the left rear speaker pod. The problem I'm having is that for some reason the speaker won't fit flush in the left pod like it does in the right. It seems to be hitting the outer wall of the pod. The right has no issues. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, and more importantly, how did you resolve the problem? For reference the speakers I'm using are Polk 5.25".

 

Have you tried rotating the speaker 90 or 180 degrees to see what happens? Is it bumping against the control switch or the connector?

Yep, tried rotating it into every position possible. It's like the left pod is shallower than the right. If you are looking straight at it, the right side if the speaker won't set in all the way. The magnet seems to be bottoming out.

I got the same speakers and had the same problem,it is hitting the switch.Mine had the chrome beauty rings so i put that behind the speaker like a spacer and it works great.You could use the stock cover if you want to cut the screen out and would do the same thing.And yes that avatar is something to look at.Reminds me of my wifes ****.
