Hello,

I got caught in some rain the other day and my H-K quit working on my 2011 Limited. The unit would not fire up untill the next day. When it did work the next day it worked normal. I was just curious if this is normal and to expect this when getting some rain the next time. From doing a search on the H-K radio here, I am kind of feeling very kind of lucky it worked ever again. I will most likely upgarade the unit in the future after doing some research on what to replace it with. For now however it is a warranty issue if it quits but that in itself can be a pain to deal with also. Feedback appreciated. Thanks.

I was caught in a monsoon last year,hardest rain I've ever been in,and the radio was fine. I have never had a problem because of rain. I would let them look at it,if I were you.

 

May have been a gremlin. I would let it alone and see if it does it again. If you take it in they will replace it with a re-furbished unit instead of a new one even if your bike is 1 day old. Mine did it one time after a hard rain but has not done it again.
