Default R/T/B Module doesn't work on Street Glide

Can anyone explain why? I assume there's a different pattern to the rear end wiring but I'm not sure what the difference is.

I thought the RTB was already in place on the SG since it doesn't have a tail lamp.

i believe it its, its in the rear in the lower light "box" - at least with the newer models that use turnsignals as brakes.

Friend has an '09 with center brake light. Took the module off his old bike. Even the catalog says that the module will work on virtually every bike except Street Glide.

does you SG have a rear center light?

what year is your bike- year and model are pretty useful info when asking a question as things change from year to year.

Current US FLHX models do not have a center run/brake taillight.- some export models do.

If the Street Glide has a center mounted brake light the Auxilary RTB conversion kit will work, although it states that it is not intended for 04-Later models for the following reason.

"NOTE: Not intended for use on '04-later FLHX, FLHRS, FLTR or FLHTCSE models, '05-later FLSTN models or models equipped with Bullet Turn Signal Bar Kit P/N 68615-04 or 68617-04. If installed on these models, the system will function properly but will not meet the DOT minimum separation requirements for a red tail light to red turn signal."

That being said I've had one on my 09 Street Glide with no problems.

That's is correct! I have one on my 08 with no problem at all.

Works fine on my '07. Just needed to change my turn signal lenses out to red. Got the tri-bar light as brake also. Never can have enough braking light...
