Touring Leather Jacket (American Made)

I have a FOX Creek Classic II and a Langlitz that was made for me. The Langlitz is goatskin. The quality of both is fantastic. The FC is heavy cow hide, heavy brass zippers, nice attention to detail. Customer service was great.
The Classic has some really nice features. The vents really work. It also comes with a zip out liner with neck scarf attached. Its a really practical jacket that I think will age well.
The people at Langlitz were fantastic to deal with and the craftsmanship is out of this world. Plus you get all that history, get to choose the options you want and a perfect fit (and I ordered from 6000 miles away).
Neither has armour which might be a consideration for you.

Spartan leathers make custom fitted leather race suits as well as leather touring jackets. Since most of their gear is is custom made though there is a time delay. Very high quality. See review on www.webbikeworld.com.
Although it is not leather www.motoport.com make high end and very protective custom fitted kevlar gear. If you damage your jacket in a crash they will replace it for free.

Just for grins, I called Johnsons Leathers in San Francisco - Allen is the guy I delt with back in 97 and again in early 2000 to have a Pererated Jacket and chaps made - Allen is still there - he is a great guy to deal with and I would ONLY talk to him.. What I like about Johnsons leathers is - its a small company/shop and the leathers are made right there in the back - when you walk in, you can see them at work. You pick out the colors and style you want - measurments are made and then it built - You want American Made - doesn't get any better than this.... I get Nothing form the company - I just like my leather jacket - over the last 11 years, both the zippers in our jackets (the pulls) came off.... Allen took care of them both at NO charge... The other companys may be just fine,,, but when I can walk into a shop and see the work being done and call back after 11 years and talk to the guy I delt with the first time.... Try that with any other leather company - I dare ya..

I ordered one from US1 Leather (www.us1leather.com). I went to the retail store and they were very helpful. They're actually custom making it for me to get the fit right, at no extra charge. I should have it in a couple of weeks and will post an update.
