Can anyone who has changed their handlebars help me. I am wondering what is the tallest bars I can go with on my 02 RK Classic without having to change the cables? I know that I want to go with Wild 1 chubby bars, so its either 8.5", 10" or 12". I had 10" monkey bagger bars on my FLHT and didn't have to change any lines, so I was thinking that I'd be able to do 10". My clutch cable seems to have lots of slack, not to sure about throttle cables.

I'm thinking it's WO515/10" inch min-apes but not certain. I'm interested the same response.

 

The dealer told me I could go with 12" HD apes without changing out cables. Believe he said HD Touring have about 2 inches of slack to play with stock. Then he quoted me a ridiculous install price so i walked out the door.

Bought 16" apes, new cables, installed myself for much less than it would have cost me to have them do it
