Been thinking about moving license plate above taillight & getting it out of
it's vertical position under tourpack.Not going to make tourpack detachable,
just want to move plate down for a different look.Any suggestions?

 

Buy the kit from harley 53702-04A. It's $200 from www.surdyke.com

 

kits may or may not fit your bike depending on year/model.

many pre 09 parts won't fit 09+ with the wider fender.

but have a look under there.
with tourpak on stock rack, moving the license plate exposes a not too attractive slab of metal

I have mine detached much of the time, I use the roadking style mount - under the taillight, this is an 09 FLHTC

I bought the lay down bracket for mine. Same spot just not straight up.

Metfancowboy is correct. I used SoftBrakes' Stainless Steel License Plate Relocator on my 2012 Electra Glide Classic. Relocates the license plate under the rear turn signal bar.

 

Well I did the Harley kit on my 08 before I bought my 09. It fit with no problems and it comes with some pretty chrome fillers for bikes that had units that leave unsightly holes. On leadman's 07 it will work just fine.
