I'm getting ready to install the new Rockford amp and putting 6x9 Polk Audio Marine speakers in the saddlebag lids. I'm running a Sony headunit and Hertz 6.5 in the fairing. My question is, will the Hertz 6.5 be good or is there a better 6.5 speaker to match the Polk Audio's. I found a good deal on the Polk Audio 6x9 marine speaker on Amazon.com for $84.00 shipped.

Make sure you check the sensitivity rating for each set of speakers to get the best sound.
For example: I'm running ARC Audio 6x9's in my bag lids. They have a sensitivity rating of 86dB @ 1 watt. I also have a pair of Polk Audio DXi525's in the fairing. They are rated at 93dB @ 1 watt. That is a huge difference.
The response from mkguitar in my thread gives a better explanation.
when u mix brands and models u can get some goofy sound, regardless of sensitvity or power handling all speakers have a different timber or tone,as a rule i use the same models for all 4 .
