One thing to keep in mind is there are 2 types of fuel line. One is made to be submersed and one is not. There are a couple good threads here about fuel line replacement so try the searching.
Also I know on some models there is a vacume cap behind the air cleaner than have been known to rot out and cause similar symptoms.
And then there is the possibility of an injector problem or broken wire at the injector. Saw a thread about this recently.
I guess what I am saying is beware of tunnel vision when diagnosing drivability problems
