Question arnott air ride

Im on a limited budget and i see i believe the compnay is called cycle concepts sells the Arnott system with the Bilstein shock for $500 and it includes the compressor etc... Then there is the 11 way adjustable system. is there really a need for the 11 ways or can i get away with the base system for now atleast? I had also seen a while back that there were codes for discounts does anyone have or know of any codes anymore? The old post codes dont work anymore and in the old posts no one discussed the 11 way adjustables compared to the base system is why i ask. im looking to install this system cause of a short inseam LOL. my bike already has a lowering kit by 1/ 1/2 inches and that doesnt cut it plus i was hit by a truck on another bike so my legs arent as strong as they used to be real tuff time backing up.Thanks for the help!

On the bilsteins there is no adjustability that I know of. Only on the Aldins.

I have the cheaper of the two and I love em. Still in my mid 30's so not to worried about 100% lazy boy riding. The customer service is great at arrnot and at cycle concepts.. You wont be disapointed. Buy the remote it's a 100.00 bucks but well worth it.

I've had the Bilstien set up for several years now with 0 problems. The ride is a bit firm but the more air you put in the better ride you seem to get.

Its funny you guys (eds06 and 07flht were the 2 guys whose posts i read previous) What is the adjustability for? stiffness? cause generaly if you dont pump the hell out of an air ride shock it will ride soft and or vise versa hard if you do. im just looking to be able to drop the seat when backing up etc... and did you guys have any codes for discounts from being on this forum. I guess there used to be?

I have Arnott back when they were using QA1 shocks they do have dampening adjustment of like 12 settings. I am glad that I have those setting because I did have to adjust the rebound when you really air it up for two up loaded down the way I ride most of the time. The rebound was to quick on the lowest setting so I have it dialed up to about 4 and make a big difference. Not to say that the Bilstien's may have better dampening I just don't know and can't really comment on that.I am glad I do have what I have and it works great for several years now, I did change all of the connections to push to connect and changed all the air lines from stock also.
