Default Kurykyn 2261 LED Headlight For Street Glide

Has anyone installed this headlight. After looking at on the website not sure I like the looks of the LED but it may be the design of all LED's. Let me know your thoughts, experience. This is half the price of the Harley LED. Thanks

I have that Kury 2261 headlight...(passing lamps, too) on my Ultra Limited.
Much brighter than any stock headlight out there. Good deal for the price. The "appearance" kind of grows on you. You get used to it. It does what it is designed to do--Give you a helluva lot of light- which the older I get, the more I seem to need at night.
They are not as visible in daylight/sunshine as a traditinal halogen beam, but you will still be seen.
At first i thought the "look" or design of the bulb was kind of ugly, but it seems to have grown on me and really is not so bad.
I think eventually all headlights will be LED and will become a standardized look on all vehicles.
...just my 2 cents worth.

Have both the Kury and HD LED 7" light both good, like the Kury better on my Dyna as it does not have the 4" aux lights to compliment and the kury pools the light better. The HD is good too but beam more defined, get what you can afford you cant go wrong either way.

Just an FYI in case you didn't know. The Kuryakyn LED headlight is the same as the Truck Lite LED headlight. It is manufactured by TL and sold by Kury.

I have been running one since February and it makes a big difference. Brighter and whiter usable light. I was running it with the TL/Kury passing lamps on my Ultra and that created a wall of light. Kinda miss not having the passing lamps now on my SG but just the headlight alone makes a world of difference.

I bought the TrukLight after my brother had the Kuryakyn one installed at Sturgis in 2010. I like it more every time I ride my bike. I'm as impressed with the daylight visability as much or more that the night part of it. I ride mostly in the daylight and the bike looks like a freight train coming down the road even it bright sunlight! I'm sayin' "GO FOR IT"...you WON'T be sorry.

I also have it on my '10 SG and it makes a big difference to me, I'm old and need better night light. I also have the Custom Dynamics white turn signals which adds to the light output but aren't DOT legal as installed as turn signals, so far not busted.

Default led bulb only replacement

Has any one kept the same h-d assembly, but only switched to led bulb replacement? Are they all plug and play? I read something about an h-d wire ya have to get at the dealer. any truth too that?
