Looking for good mirrors
I am going away from the fairing mirrors on my FLHX and want to get a decent set of black mirrors, short stem. Anyone have suggestions?

maybe not the coolest, but I like my stock mirrors on the EG Classic-
in heavy rain, stretch a bungee between the stalks and hang a rag on it to catch the spray coming up.

Why not go with HD's stock mirror in black short stem style part number 92023-03A...I think they will give you the best view for a short stem..IMO

Kinda related ...
I swear I'm on a never ending hunt after mirrors for my Road King that wont' shake loose. It just drives me nuts. The best I've found so far are the Kury Magnums but even they work loose.
Just yesterday I decided to go with a minimum parts/adjustabilty option and see if that helps. Ordered CycleSmiths round long stems from Chrome Addiction. Supposed to be pretty solid. We'll see.
