Default What to do???

I work construction and it's been a very slow year ,long story short is money is getting very tight trying to pay all my bills and keep my good credit going , thinking of selling my 06 ultra , I don't want to but it would sure help out . I'm wanting to retire in 4 more years so I can use my retirement money to buy another one then ,I just will have to rough it for alittle while. any way I know how much I've got in the bike and how much i baby it ,do you think asking 12 would be a quick sell , lots of chrome added 24,000 miles

Another victim of this crappy economy...I wish you luck and hope things turn around for you and the rest of us. Without knowing much about the bike it certainly sounds like a fair deal.

In this day and economy, they're hard to sell and even harder to get back.
Good luck which ever you decide to you have to do.

If retail is 15K you should start at 15K. Don't give it away. Dealers usually get another 500 to 1000 for fees too. You can always lower the price and usually the buyer will wan't you to give something up. Miles are low and chrome is expensive.

list it on all the classifieds -- getting a bike takes less than 24hrs -- getting your good credit back takes years.

BTW -- the economy took a nosedive long before BHO --

..first off...have a looooonggg talk with yourself before you let this baby go. I'm 53, old enough to have been in that position a few times in my life...and let me tell you, looking back, I gave away real nice bikes a few times, because money was tight and it seemed like the smart thing to do at the time. If I had it all over to do, I would have kept every one of those bikes. The money I got for them never made any huge difference in my life, it just cleared up temporary tight spots, which I should have cleared up by other means(second jobs, less spending, etc). Think how much it will cost you to replace that bike too. I think you are right in the ball park at 12K, and you will wind up pissing that away quickly, then you will want to buy another one, and will spend $18-$20K on a new one in a few years....not a good deal. Hang in there, collect cans, take a part time second job, cut out the cable tv bill, and cell phone...whatever it takes to hold onto that bike, as long as it isn't food, clothing, or shelter...it can be cut out...good luck man
