Gerber baby diapers in place of micro fiber cloth

I have been using 100% cotton diapers to polish for probably 20 years. My last windshield lasted 13 years. What I like is that while on a road trip if you need to clean winshield several times, it was so large I would just fold it to hide the dirty side and get a clean side towards shield and paint. When you buy them read and make sure they are 100% cotton.

the advantage of 100% cotton, is that cotton fibers are softer than polyester and will not scratch finishes.
many finishes will be scratched by poly blends- so i don't use them.
the diapers are what gets used on the $250 or $250000 guitars i work on.
wash them like regular, do not use any fabric softener or dryer sheets with cotton cleaning cloths.
and make sure you are polishing and that the 'washing" has already removed any grit which could scratch or swirl the paint---- nothing looks worse to my eye than some poor guy who had the "detailer" buff his finish to a world of swirl marks.
I do use microfiber on my car windows

I have both..........good ol diapers make the grade every time. Microfiber towels I got laying around everywhere and they are good. 100% cotton diapers.......really hard to match. You can go to the diaper supply places and get the used ones with holes in them for a song. They're happy to get rid of them & I'm happy to buy them.
