Default Stock bar rise

Bars are about 9"

Bars are about 9" rise
I don't know the exact answer but you might do well to get measured at the dealer or local shop. Once you find the right position you'll know what will work for you.

I ended up with the Heritage Softail bars, was having neck and wrist pain. New bars, problem solved. Those bars are a bit shorter that the 10" mini apes. I did replace all the cables, the clutch was scuffed through and the throttle and brake would have worked but looked odd.. '07 RK.

QUOTE=ancheta61;19513038]I also have a 2011 RK FLHRC and still has the stock bar. Does anyone know the max rise of a bar i can install without needing to extend the cables?[/QUOTE]

I ended up putting the same bars off my 2009 heritage on to my aunts 05 RK, theyre about 11" all I needed to do is tweak the steel line at the master.

@peterllo Are those heritage bars or heritage style? I need 3-4 inch pull back as i am reaching out on the 2011 RK stock bars. Any aftermarket online stores you can recommend to get them?

Thumbs up Great thread

This pictorial helped me a lot replacing my RK stock bar to a heritage style similar to what was used here. Took me a day but mission accomplished. I also learned that my cabling could have taken a 16' rise handle bat also. Oh well, the heritage style felt a lot better than the stock. Just perfect for a 5'10" me. Thanks for this thread. It's old but very helpful still.
