Yes you will need adapters. Your going to a bigger speaker than stock. Search biketronics, hogtunes, ebay. They will all have the adapters.

What about using these polks without an amp just replacing stock they are 4 ohm?

Very pleased with my 6.5 polks, also running the separate polk mm tweeters.

they are 4 ohm but if your running the factory radio without an a/m amp you need 2 ohm speakers

I to am running the MM's 6.5 with remote tweeter in the fairing and 6.5 in the rear pods. With a 400 watt amp alpine marine grade under the tour pack works and sounds fabulous.

Default Polk Audio DXi 650 6.5"

I've been looking at using these speakers, and it looks like several of you have already installed them. I'm guessing they work fine with the 2omh factory Harley Stereo? No additional adapters are needed for install?
