Use the 36mm wrench in your tool kit and here is a clip on ignition switch removal......

If you're talking about the ignition switch then no. Just remove the 2 screws on the sides of the switch cover then insert the key and turn the ignition to full lock (bars locked left) reach under the ignition and push the button and continue to turn the key to the left and remove the ignition switch. Use a cresent wrench and remove the screw ring that holds the switch together. Remove the switch cover. You will have tons of room since you are pulling the tank but you don't have to do that. Reassemble the screw ring hand tight with the cover off. Insert switch and and you can now turn the bars and work on the bike. Important do not remove the switch unless the steering is full locked left. It is not fun trying to figure out how to align the switch.

Yes the flat stamped 36mm in the Moco supplied toolkit (on Ultras) worked perfect
