I just added the Metra that I bought from an auto parts store. The claim from another thread is that it's the same as the latest from HD. So far it works well.
Under $20 and is powered.

I've got the $20 Metra as well. Pulls in more stations than the stock whip. Kind of irritating, honestly, since the HK can't flip through presets like the HK in my MINI Cooper does. Instead, it'll go up/down .2 at a crack, through every station from half a state away. I'll put up with it, though, as I don't listen to the radio that often and much prefer the cleaner look on the TourPak. And, yes, it still gets WB just fine, sometimes even better.

I've had $8 rubber ones from the auto parts store in a few bikes that have worked great.

They all work fine until you leave a metropolitan area, then they all work poorly.

I've been more than 30 miles outside the local area (Reno) and so far I have no complaints with the Metra.

30 miles outside of town? Good thing you bought a Touring bike.

I bought one of these because I didn't want to throw a bunch of cash at something and not be sure that it would perform effectively. So far it has worked flawlessly.
