Default Is the Rockford Fosgate worth all the hype?

Now that people have them installed, how does it rate against the high dollar brands?I want an amp but don't want to buy 2 or 3 to get something worth while.

Thanks Tom

I had RF in my Jeep Wrangler years ago and it was loud and sounded good. I used a component set in the front and speakers in the sound bar and amp all from them. It held up to the abuse, bouncing around in the woods, some water here and there. I would and will buy Rockford stuff again. When I do the radio in my bike that is what I am going to get. I would not get any of the head units from them. I had one and it didn't work that good but everything else I have had from them is top notch.

Yes it is well worth it but I'm having overheating issues in the fairing where it will shut down for 2 minutes.

I have a jl audio xd series amp in side the batwing, wouldn't trade it for a rockford. Never shut down, never any problems and I've ran it for hours nonstop

I have it installed in my 09 Streetglide with four Focal 6.5" speakers, two in the fairing and two in the lowers and have ridden it for about a total of 15 hours and have not had any issues or problems and rode it for over two hours each way last Saturday in 90 plus degree heat running it loud and again I had know issues with it and really like having it. I will know more in the next few weeks if i will have issues as I will be taking two four day weekend trip with extended long day mileage. One trip to northern CA, the other to Reno for Street Vibrations. I would say for the money its a great amp and works as advertised. The Focal speakers are pretty efficent speakers so maybe that is why I have not had any issues but I tend to push them hard and so far no issues. I will post after my too trips any updates.

I have a Vibe 2 amp, and just did 2000 miles in weather anywheres from 45* to 105*, and never had a problem with it shutting down.
I went from Sacramento to the Oregon border in over 100* weather, and never had a problem.
Oh by the way, they can be had for 139.95

I just installed this in my bike, with the fosgate speakers. I like it. Not sure the speakers are the best, but the amp is pretty sweet. I live in AZ and it has been over a hundred degrees lately, and my amp has not shut off, knock on wood.

XD400/4 We placed it inside the batwing on top of the radio (kenwood kiv701) we did another with the factory radio inside the batwing, which is really pushing it! I waited for rockford but they took toooooo long. Very happy with the jl and would buy another
