Default What are you Paying for Monotube & Chrome Lower Installation?

We're curious... Have any of you done a Monotube kit and chrome fork legs install? How much did you spend (with install)?

We're hearing a wide range of cost on this and want to hear what you guys have to say!

Your input is greatly appreciated!

We charge 4 hours for the entire job at $75.00 per hour totaling out at: $300.00 just to give you an idea.

Hope this kind of helps.

my dealer does not charge labor to install monotubes if you do it while they are installing chrome lowers , they have to disassemble the fork anyway

Exactly! We don't charge labor for the monotubes either since we are already there installing the chrome lowers. Either way, it's 4 hours at our shop. 4 hours to do monotubes or 4 hours to do the chrome lowers. If someone does both mods at the same time, they are killing two birds with one stone.

That's a great method. What are parts cost on chrome lowers and bells?

PS

Retail is like $572. I got mine on eBay for $410 from an HD dealer.
