Well to each there own, Bud. I am definately not brand Loyal, I put chevy motors in fords, I put ford rear ends in chevys soooo? If we all worry about our own issues as much as we worry about someone else's we would all be much better off. He can put a fairing on a freaking scooter if he wants & if he likes it I am happy for him, enough said.

The Memphis Shades fairings slightly resemble a batwing. There are at least a dozen companies that make fairings that are a lot closer.

The Memphis Shades fairing is only a shell.

Here's a bad cell phone shot of it on my wifes bike, before paint. Like I said it only resembles a batwing. The curves are all wrong, and the top doesn't have the squared off deck..... and it's slightly smaller.

And yes.... I need to clean my garage....

Pretty strong words there Colonel. I feel a bit responsible to protect the products I believe in. No issues with Harley parts on Harleys. Just raised an eyebrow with me when I first saw the fairing on different bikes. It's good that you can carry on and not think twice about it. I'm learning. Thought our friends here would help. Thanks for your words of wisdom.

I am fine with the after market fairings. I almost did it to my VTX but decided to move to the Ultra instead. Now I am not sure what I will do in the future. I like seeing all sorts of different bikes and ideas out there. I love Harley but am not brand loyal.

Some of them have to be borderline copyright infringement.

The same thing I think of a Pontiac Fiero with a Testarossa body kit.
Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against metric bikes, I owned several of them, but I never made them look like a Harley. I know several guys who mounted lots of HD body parts on their metric: fairing, TourPak, even lowers. That's too much. They don't even look good with all this stuff added. A square TouPak with rounded saddlebags look cheesy, IMO.
Leave them the way they look as much as you can, that's all I'm saying.

say it again -- got a buddy who did a honda to look and almost sound like a RG -- hard bags, fairing, music, pipes and wheels -- won a couple of metric shows with it. He is now trying to sell it to get a real RG -- funny thing is his wife and her twin sister has had HDs for years.
