Five oil changes and 13000 miles on the same Oring and starting leak. I normally change it more often, but I just keep forgetting to pick one up when I bought the filter. ACE is just up the street from me.
They should have one. I seem to remember picking one up there when I was in a bind because it was only 10 mile to Ace versus 45 miles to the closest HD or indy shop.
Ace hardware may have an oring that is the same size as the one on your bike but highly inlikely they will have one in the same material. If I remember right the oil drain oring is a fluoroelastomer/viton -13 or -10 oring. Have never seen one in an Ace Hardware. Grainger/McMaster Carr.

But I bet they have a black rubber O-ring that will serve the purpose it's needed for. May not last as long, may not be made of elastic kryptonite, may need to be replaced every oil change, but I bet it will still work.

Hahaha...I agree. I picked up 4 of them from Autozone for my last service. I figure it'll at least last until my next oil change. I was a bit disappointed in the price though. They were like $4 each...I was like DAMN! I would expect that at the stealership, but not at a parts store.
