Default 103 put off more heat?

Just wondering, is it me or does the 103ci motor put off an *** load of heat? I bought my '11 Limited last year during the later part of the year, so I never really felt how much heat came off the motor, and this year I haven't road much since I broke my foot!

The other day we went for a ride, literally 30 minutes down the road to a friends, so I wore shorts, and OMG my right left was so dang hot I couldn't stand it. It turned my calve RED!

I don't remember my old 88 ci motor doing this; is there some I can change to fix it?

BTW, running dual RH already, so the factory exhaust is gone.

Everyone I've talked to that has the 103 says yes to your question. Most are paying to have oil coolers added.

If you've changed the header (where the catalytic converter is) what's left is to have your bike tuned with a SERT, TTS Mastertune or similar device. A correct AFR (not EPA lean) will really help. I also swear by the mid frame heat deflectors. Use the HD ones, there have been lots of reports of fit problems with other brands.

Oil cooler will not help engine temps much, and it only works when you're moving. Race tune is the only thing.

My 103 with SEPST is no different than my old 96. The only time I was ever hot on any bike I have had,was with lower fairings on.Honestly I don't get the whole heat issue,it's an air cooled motorcycle. If I wanted to be cool. I would drive my truck and turn on the AC.

Entire exhaust is gone or just the tailpipes, if the header is still on then the cat is still there hot as ever?

my 103 came with a factory cooler and I'm sure it helps a ton, but until I did as was suggested earlier, replace the head pipes, add fuel to a correct air/fuel ratio with a tuner, I use the HD SuperTuner with V&H Power Duals and SE 255 cams, SE Ventilator AC and my bike stopped the cylinder shutdown as soon as these things were done. Usually in the 220* oil temp now and I was over 250* alot of the time before...
