I wash mine once or twice every two weeks, but only but about 25-35 minutes into it. Don't even always clean the back wheel. I use a leave blower to dry it. Then let it sit outside in the shade for a bit. The next day or two I touch it up with Harley spray wax with micro fiber cloth. Black is such a pain in the arss, but sure looks nice clean.

Wash it when I can't stand the dirt anymore. Fortunately with the Denim finish, I don't notice it so much (unless I take the seat off). Blow dry it with one of my wife's old grooming blowers (she used to be a dog groomer), and then touch up with a soft cloth using the Denim cleaner.

I stay away from any bearings, and switches with the spray.
Last step is the treated water water rinse.
Been doing this on every bike I've owned for the past (gasp) 45 years. Never, ever had any problems caused by doing this.

From start to finish, including drying is 1/2 hour.
No need for suit from me. I use the car wash too from time to time. Just need to be sensible about how and where you direct the high pressure.

Never had a problem and it works a treat to get that hard road grime off, especially under the motor and tranny and also gets the wheel and tires super clean.

I usually wash mine in the late fall before putting it up for the winter.

Because I wipe mine down after almost every ride, I hardly ever have to wash her. Easier to keep it clean than to let it go and then try and play catch up.

Another vote for the magic wand at the car wash. Been doing it that way for almost 28 years. Never had a problem either.

For drying, after seeing the tips about leaf blowers here I'm going to try my cordless air mattress pump.

I take my bags off and jack it up for better access. I never wet the bike down with water. I hand wipe everything!
