I just did my own cables and brake lines on my 2011 Road King with ABS. (changed the bars) I used a Mighty Vac vacuum pump to bleed the brakes by pulling the fluid from the MC to the calipers. Pumped the lever gently a lot also. I did it until no bubbles were seen at the caliper or in the MC when pumped. The brakes feel like they did before I did the work. I don't know if the ABS works as you are supposed to have the dealer bleed them, but when I take it in for service I will have them do it. Took about 45 to 50 mins.

The basic bleeding was the same as any brake line, it just took a lot longer.

I've looked at that scanner, doesn't seem to have access to abs activation.0The reason you need to activate abs to bleed system is if you have gotten air in the abs pump, if you have changed ft calipers for example, if you suck fluid thru the bleeders on the caliper, keeping the reservoir full and get no air upstream into the pump, you are fine. if you change any lines going to the pump bleed them first befor connecting to pump, most likely will be ok, if not go get it bled. but if you are careful it isn't too hard to do. when you disconnect pump, fluid doesn't run out, but if you have some brake line caps, its a good idea if fluid is right there at the top of the line port and you connect a line that has been bled, you shouldn't have any air, then do the normal bleed procedure
