Cam Options for SE 103 Stage III?
Starting to debate on different builds for my 2010 Street Glide. I do not want to go any bigger than 107 because I do not want to dig into my lower end. I want a very rideable, reliable build. Truth be told, I'm sure I'd be pretty content with just a TW-555 cam in my 96, but hell, I got the cash, might as well get this complete all at once.
The Fuel Moto 107 is most likely the front runner, however I am doing due dillegence and looking at all possible options.
The SE 103 Stage IV looks great, but I've read about some reliability issues, so I was looking at the Stage III. However, the SE259 Cam has a little more high reving torque curve then I am looking for. Wondering what other cams would give better low end torque. I "say" I'm not chasing dyno numbers, but let's be honest we all are.
Would an TW-555 work in this build? A SE 211? An Andrews? Just looking at options. I know I would have to get adjustable pushrods, because the kit comes with "perfect fit" pushrods for the SE 259s. Any other "ankle biter" items the kit doesn't come with?
Hell, I've even looked at getting a 103 Stage I, and put on Kompressor Heads to get it to 10.5:1 and have a unique build, but I'm sure there are better ways to go.
I know HQ and TMann make some good products too, but my local dealer is not much of a "motor builder" so I am trying to stay with a kit as much as possible. There are also limited dynos in my area (nearest is 3 hours away) so most kits have "canned" maps that will be more than adequate until I can make a road trip for a true dyno tune.
I'm sure when the smoke settles I'll be calling Jamie at Fuel Moto and ordering a FM 107.
Thanks for the replies in advance.
