That's good and I did see you grinning from afar. Honestly, I wish mine would go into neutral from 2nd, as that would be very convenient at times. I'm going to ask around locally and see if any others have experienced this.

Well by way of follow up I have just checked the section for shifting control in my operators booklet and while there is a reference to neutral from 1st, there is no reference to reach N fron 2nd....

I'm curious as it may be a situation of "some do, some don't". I checked my shift pattern again on the way home from work and it does indeed engage N from 2nd very easily and I can feel the detent coming down from 2nd.

Good on you for asking around-- I'll do the same when I next ride with others.

I would make sure the Primary case fill level is correct as well-- as it can make a difference to the way the clutch engagement/drag feels. JMO
I figured a break in period for the chain would be necessary. The primary appeared to be overfilled so I drained and replaced with the recommended amount. This helped some but the problem is still there for now. Before I replaced the primary fluid, it was really hard to find neutral. Most of the time it shifts fine but sometimes I go back and forth from 1st to 2nd then back from 2nd to 1st....Thanks
