Default Anyone else actually like the stock SG windshield???/

I have been using a LRS 7.5" Ultraflip for almost a year now. I like it, but it the flip part is actually in my line of vision. Just on a whim, I put the stock shield back on yesterday and I must say I liked the ride quite a bit. I liked the more open and spacious feel and I really like the sportier look of the lower shield.

Sure, there is more wind, but I don't get the buffeting everyone talks about. So I will leave it on for a while, but I like it pretty well. Does anyone else like the shorty shield?

I never had one, the bike I bought had the 6" shield on it, so I have never ridden with the stocker.

yes I do like the stock windshield, I keep it on most of the year. When I go on a long road trip or it gets real cold I put on my the 7 inch. I too don't don't understand all the whining about air turbulance & all the things people do to block the wind. It is a motorcycle afterall, it is suppose to be windy!

yup, I really like it. I'm 5'9" and it is perfect for me. I can ride with a hat facing forward going 75mph with no problems. I know some people talk about wind buffeting but i haven't experienced it. I'd say with 27K on the odometer I have ridden it enough to know if i like it or not. lol

Had the stock windshield on since day one and I don't anticipate changing it out. BTW, I've got 28K on the scoot to date.

I agree, for 10 yrs I rode my Electra with a short smoke shield from HD, I hated the factory stock for many reason, one I don't like looking thru a windshield of a bike, second is too hot in south florida and gets rather stuffy behind it, and third is a bike I want it to feel like I'm riding a motorcycle.
I just got a 2012 RG I replaced it with the 6" HD sales with the little flip, I thought it looked kool and bough it purely for esthetics, but I feel no difference from the stock one, in retrospect I should have spent the money for on chrome, yeap all this complaining about wind is silly .........

I also run the stock shield. Have tried a few others but with no luck.
I wasted some money with a LRS that simply would not fit and bolt up.
Had another one that was screwing up my vision.
Screw them all I'm staying stock....

I'm still w/ stock, just like the looks of it.

The wind buffeting is bad sometimes, but it's better than on a fast boat you stand up in with the wind ramped into your face I guess. I don't like wind much but end up w/ a lot of it in my face somehow and just get used to it.
