Update. I sent Metzeler an email asking the same question, they replied today saying that they do not have a "stale date" for their tires. They believe that their tires are good within 10 years of mfg. date provided that the tires have been stored correctly. After that 10 year period of storage the tire should still perform as new, and like any tire it should be maintained and checked regularly for signs of weathering and wear. Interesting, I think i will just buy new ones with a fresher date.

 

10 Yrs? I don't care how the tires are stored, I would never buy them! Also as of now, there are NO Metzeler's in My future!
