The lowers block crutial air to the motor is the problem, up until the RK I had to wear some kind of face shield or I'd get beat up, what style helmet did you say you tried?
I also test rode a streetglide and I said noway to the wind buffeting issue.
So I got a king also and love it.
I am6 feet and the stock shield is perfect for me.

Just curious, why did the seat and bars change your buffeting?

Now that I am Running A Mustang Tour Seat and 14" Wild1 Chubby Apes... I took em off and don't have a problem...

But I think I am gonna hang onto them incase I wanna put em back on...

But yea... The Chrome Wind Deflectors should do the trick...

Nice to know I'm not alone in loving the King, I've done 80-90 MPH and the wind is very tollerable. I think it's because of how tall the windshield is but your noticing it at 6 foot so I wonder why it's a problem for Danny Z?

I had a BMW that had a small fairing and windshield just like the streetglide so I am now so happy to have just wind instead of buffeting.

If he can testride ride a streetglide with the stock shield he might be able to compare the difference and see if its really buffeting on his king.

Do you have any pics of those deflectors on your bike by chance?
Sounds like a good idea.

Put a Laminar Lip on my 03 Roadking in 03 would not rid the bike with out one. I broke my neck years ago and it is fused making any head shaking painful. Did an Ironbutt in March with no problem.
