Default 3" Cobra slip-ons

Anyone have dealings with this muffler?
On my 05 RK I'm running 3 1/2" Pythom's and they have a bit of a tinny sound and a bit louder then my wife likes.
I'm running a stage 1 with fuel pak.
I've been looking at American Custom but was wondering about these Cobras.
Anyone run them before? What did you think of them as far as sound?

Thanks
Don

Cobra must be pretty low on everybodys muffler list.
Listened to both on their web sites, liked the American
better [sounds on the web aren't the best].
Couldn't find much about the Cobra on any past threads either.
So looks like I'll be going with American Custom.

I can't help you with the three inch slip ons. I have the 4 inch slash cut:

http://www.cobrausa.com/exhaust_deta...cut%20Slip-Ons

This is the second bike I've owned with Codbra Exhaust. The other bike was 15 or so years ago. Their quality is very high and they are made here in America. They wear very well. Great value.

Sound is hard to describe, and you are correct, the sound clips on the web tell you more about the sound of your computer speakers than the sound of the pipes you are supposedly listening to.

My four inch cobras have a great deep sound that is slightly louder than I would like, but I will live with them. They aren't anywhere near as loud as lot of bikes out there.

Good luck with your purchase. I think cobras are a great value, but without listening to them live first, the sound of any pipe will always be a crapshoot.
